Is it possible to apply after an absence in the country?

Post by edga » Wed Sep 19, 2018 12:56 am

Hi,

I lived in the UK for over 10 years i.e., September 2006 - April 2017

I tried to apply for naturalisation but was rejected due to lack of entry in the WRS between 2009-2011 (even though the extension was deemed unlawful) so they said the earliest I can apply is September 2011.

Decided not to wait and left the country for a bit. If I come back, does that period (2011-2017) still counts or do I need to start my 6-year period all over again?

depends on how long you decide to leave... PR status will lose if leave for more than two years.
