Documents required for Tier 2 General expension for Main Applicant and Dependent

Post by faridsmailbox » Sat Sep 22, 2018 11:28 am

Hello Respected Experts

I am on tier two general visa expiring on end of October, my wife arrived last year in May on dependent visa and her visa is also expiring with mine. I am planning to send application by post for extension for myself and my wife. Below is documents which prepared to send with application and IHR payment proof copy:

1. Passport copies
2. BRPs
3. Photographs
4. Bank Statement of main applicant despite my employer ticked maintenance bit on CoS.
5. CoS copy which received from my employer.
6. Last six months payslips
7. Latest P60.
8. Tenancy agreement dated Aug 2018 (in my name and mt wife name)
8. Our marriage Certificate in English by Government of India
9. My wife bank statement for last three months as her address proof.
10. Latest water bill in name of mine and my wife.
12. Latest Broadband bill in my name.
13. Latest gas and electricity bill in name of mine and my wife.
13. My wife NHS letter received in March.

Please advise if I am missing any document which I must include in application. Do I have prove that we are living together by submitting bills from last year since my wife arrived in May last year? If yes, then I do not have any bills in both of us name from last year. Would this create any problem in extension?

Do I have to submit my educational documents in the application?

One last question, we were blessed with a baby girl in September last year, I have not applied for her leave to remain and also not sending application now. I am planning to get her leave to remain in April next year as we have plans to go to India in June. Am I okay to not to send my daughter's application now and send before I travel out of country? Can I include my daughter's birth certificate showing mother's and father's name in extension application now for myself and my wife?

Apology for asking so many questions, any experts advise would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

If you only apply for your and your wife extension then all you need to send is both of your passports, BRPs, 2x photos. The checklist once you fill the online form too will confirm if anything extra you need to send (depending on your answers in the application form).

You don't need to send all that stuff you listed as most of it you must have submitted in your initial tier 2 application, however, if you still want to send then no harm... but best to keep it simple and send what they ask.

Regarding your kid, it's best to apply now rather than next year. IHS may increase from £200 to £400 anytime now, so best to get her visa too sorted now rather than last minute before traveling. Even if you apply in April you pay nearly same so I don't see much benefit in delaying it until next year.

If you include her in the application, then additional documents like her birth certificate, passport, photos would be needed.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Dear srsw

Thank you so much for your reply. Do I not have to submit documents to prove our proof of cohabiting for last two years?

Is there any harm if I apply leave to remain for my daughter in december time as I have got some financial commitments hence could manage this time?

Thanks

Not required as far as I understand. I submitted my extension application last week and they didn't ask for any such things.

You can start filling your application and keep it as a draft for now. Only when you go to IHS section your answers will get locked (it will warn you so you can always stop there and come back to your application).

Re. your daughter, December may be ok if you don't plan to travel outside uk, however, I'm not 100% sure if you can delay that long as I believe NHS coverage for kids born here will be covered for first 3 months and then you may have to pay. Wait for other members to answer that query or check the forum as there will be queries similar to yours.

Did you submit for self and dependent? What all documents did you submit?

Thanks
