Can the gap in visa issue and arrival in the UK be treated as absence in long residence application?

Post by bajo85 » Sat Sep 29, 2018 12:00 pm

Dear gurus and member,

Thank you for reading my post and commenting on it.

I got a question re absences, I had come to UK on 10 December 2009, however my student visa was issued on 09 October 2009. I am currently on tier 1 entrepreneur leave to remain and my two years extension is ending in September 2019.

as per new rules and my understanding, relaxation has been given to immigrants for considering gap in between their initial visa issue date and their arrival in the UK as absence from the UK. I have read about this relaxation in tier 1 entrepreneur policy guidance but I am not sure if this applies to long residence applications.

Please guide me if I can avail this relaxation on 10 years long residence application. In that case I will be able to apply before 09 October 2019 within 28 days.

I'll be very grateful to you for your comments and advices.

Thank You
