Does the TB certificate need to be shown on arrival? (Spouse visa)

Post by Edwardo » Thu Oct 04, 2018 2:28 pm

My wife has been told by the testing clinic in Asia that she must show the TB certificate when arriving in Heathrow....but I was presuming the fact she will have a visa means immigration here know that has been seen and checked already?

Can answer my own question as my wife's TB certificate was sent back to me as the sponsor and yes, it clearly says on it ''take in your hand luggage and present at immigration.....or else...'.

They hardly ever ask to see TB certificate, just send her a photocopy of it to email or whatsApp. If immigration want, they have facility in airport to test for TB.

I have not come across a single applicant who has said they were asked to produce an TB certificate.

If TB certificate was not submitted during application process, surely application would have been refused by an ECO? Maybe that is their logic.

If in doubt, they have special equipments to do the test at arrivals.
