ILR online application 28 days rule

Post by joeallen123 » Sat Sep 01, 2018 4:44 pm

Hello,

Hope you are well.
Has anyone got experience of submitting ILR application online earlier than 28 days before the reach of 5 year period? Was it successfully or unsuccessful?

Many thanks,
Joe

ILR document to prove I meet immigration rules before Tier2

Post by joeallen123 » Thu Oct 04, 2018 11:24 pm

Hi,

Thank you for spending time reading my post.

I am preparing ILR application materials through Tier2 5 years route. I was a student on Tier4 visa before.
In the ILR application document checklist, there is an item:
For the period before you were granted leave as a Tier 2 migrant, documents showing that you met the relevant requirements of the immigration rules.

I am very confused with that item.

Best regards,
Zuo

This question is for those combining Tier 1, etc with Tier 2 to meet the 5 years. If yours is Tier 2 5 year, you don't need to show any document for periods before Tier 2. If in doubt, you can provide photocopies of your previous visas and probably academic certificate if you studied in the UK
I am not a lawyer and do not claim to be one. All my comments here are based on my opinions, experience and interpretation of the appropriate UKVI guidance documents and immigration rules.

Show that you previously met the conditions of grant under Tier 4 (General) Student?

Entry clearance: 245ZW.(c)
Leave to remain: 245ZY.(c)
