Need help with regards to my Mothers visa

Post by farrukh » Fri Oct 05, 2018 11:25 am

Hi all

I am again in an unfortunate situation. Just as a background, my mom got a 10 year visit visa 3 years ago. Last year she was diagnosed with cancer and she had to undergo all the treatment in Pakistan. Although, the cancer was removed, but she is suffering from severe side effects now. She was on her own there as my brother and sister lives in Duabi and I live here in UK (UK National). She is here with me now in UK but because of her health, I am very reluctant to send her back (ofcourse, I have to after 4 or 5 months). But, is there any thing I can do to keep her here for longer? Can I apply for further leave to remain?

Many thanks

It would inevitably be denied because the UK does not support chain migration, even if the application is straightfoward and fits all the criteria, as the adult dependent visa is almost impossible to get.

Does she need help with daily tasks such as washing, dressing and eating? Could you prove that home help is unavailable in her home country?

many thanks for you response. I can understand that there is no way I can apply for ILR for her...but is there any way I can apply for further leave to remain so she can stay for longer than 6 months?

Many thanks

The application I mentioned (adult dependent relative) is not ILR... and no, there is no other visa.
