Proof of residency for Non-EU citizen married with EU citizen(No UK entry stamps)

Post by luhpaoli » Fri Oct 05, 2018 12:28 pm

Hi All me again,

I've seen people saying that your passport is your proof of residency if you are non-EU, but as a family member of EU citizen, so for the past 5 years every time I left and entered the UK my passport was never stamped because of my residency visas. The only stamp I have is when I first got here in 2012 with the Family Visa and they stamped once and never again. In the online form, it says this:

"If you do not have your passport, or it was not stamped when you entered the UK, you need to include letters (for example, from your employer or government department) as proof.

Bank statements or household bills are not suitable proof you have been living in the UK."

For the whole 2013 I wasn't working so there's no way I can give employment or government letter in this case, how can one proof residency without this?

Thank you.

A cover letter to state that you are unemployed during that period, but instead showing your flight booking record and payment of those journeys. You can also apply for immigration history from UKVI to support your claim. They should at least have your entry record, even the passport not stamped.
