Travel to India on UK passport with surrendering Indian passport

Travel to India on UK passport with surrendering Indian passport

Hi,
I was an Indian citizen but have now got the British passport as of last month and have to urgently visit my family in Indian next week. I don't have time to get an OCI for next week's trip to India and want to know if I can travel on my Indian passport even though I am naturalized citizen of UK now? I.e: Is there a grace period for this transition that allows me to travel on Indian passport to India and enter UK using my UK passport?

Hope someone here can help/advice.
