Tier 2 (Knowledge of English)

Post by rahulsrivastv » Sun Oct 07, 2018 6:01 pm

Hello,

I was in UK under Tier 2 General Visa for almost 2 years (July 2014 to June 2016), and have came back to India in 2016.
I have got job in Uk again with sponsorship and am planning to move to UK again

I have found their rules have changed since then , please guide me
Knowledge of English : Earlier their used to be point based calculator which have retired now. As per doc
"having an academic qualification that was taught in English and is recognised by UK NARIC  as being equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree,"
I am B.Tech Graduate from India, their is no online list in UK NARIC website where I can see if my university is affiliated or not. Other option is using their online service and pay the fee

Please let me know if their is any other option apart from paying the Fee and can it be excused from my case since I have been granted Visa earlier ?

No. You cannot. you must either verify your Bachelor certificate through NARIC or sit the appropriate english test.

Hi Rahul,

Did you applied for visa? There is an option in Tier 2 policy guidance where if you have been given a previous Tier 2 grant and proved that your degree was taught in English then you don't require NARIC of ILETS.

Please confirm and positively let me know if this help.

I have received my Visa Decision and it has been Refused for lacking evidence for knowledge of English.
I have submitted my B.Tech degree though. There is no mentioned if my B.Tech degree was considered or not.
Only thing is mentioned is I have not sent confirmation from UK NARIC.

There is an option for Administrative Review I really need your help on this.
I want to site the link to the document and mention point no 158.
Experts please do advise me
