Wife not on tenancy agreement (shared house)

Post by ob1ta » Tue Oct 09, 2018 3:06 pm

Hi,

My wife and I have our premium appointment for the FLR M visa very soon. We have hopefully got all the documents we need together, but there is one thing I am panicking about: accomodation.

We are sharing a 2 bed flat with another tenant. My wife and I live in one room, and the other tenant in the other room. It is just me and the other tenant on the lease, so I do not have the landlords permission (as I didn't think this was necessary if I am on the tenancy agreement, and my housemate doesn't mind. I have left it too late to add my wife to the tenancy agreement (due to not being aware that it was a problem until now).

This is our first time applying for the spouse visa. We haven't been living together very long, only a couple of months.

We can't get a letter because I think it is too late now, and also the agency is likely to be difficult and charge for an extra person.

Is this going to ruin the application?

Any advice on how to deal with the situation would be welcomed.

Thanks,
