My wife is applying for the UK ancestry visa as her grandmother was born in the UK. We have all the documents proving this except for one uncertainty. Her fathers birth certificate is an amended birth certificate and is from Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), this does not have the details of his parents on it. However, we do have his original baptism certificate from the catholic church in Rhodesia, which has his parents details on it. Would this be enough to prove who is parents are or do we need to try and get the full birth certificate from Zimbabwe.
