Brexit, non residency and wife

Hi,
I am a British Citizen from birth and lived and worked in the UK till 2016.
My wife is an Italian citizen and we married in 2011. She has an NI number etc and worked for about 6m in the UK. We have 3 children, all born in the UK and all British citizens.

Currently we are all living in Saudi Arabia for the past 2 yrs and intend to do so for probably 5y+ from now.
My questions:

1) post brexit, will there be any issues for my wife to return with me and my kids to the UK since neither me or her have been resident for past 2y in the UK and probably wont be until we leave saudi (yrs from now)

2) if anything was to happen to me (death etc), is my wife able to return to the UK with my children despite not being resident for the past few yrs. All my family etc are there and in such an event, UK would be my childrens home.
