TB test for my pregnant wife

Post by shikha27oct » Sun Oct 14, 2018 6:27 am

Hi, I have applied for long-term UK Visa for myself and my wife (Dependent visa) who is 7 months pregnant. UK Visa requires TB(X-Ray) test which my wife cannot undergo considering the circumstances. And, the other option is sputum test (phlegm coughed up from your lungs) but it has a waiting period of 8 weeks to get the results, which is also not an option in my case as I have to travel in a month. In order to take my wife with me (in a month), we cannot wait for Sputum test results as by then she will be due for delivery.

Kindly help to know if the TB test can be waived off for my wife or any other suggestions, please.
Many thanks

no. they will just ask your wife does the test and travel after delivery.
