Brp

Hi

I have been granted ilr outside of immigration rules back in 2010 and due to me not having a valid passport at the time it has been provided to me on a piece of A4 paper (is that called immigration status document?)

Now my question is do i have to apply for a BRP or can i continhe to use my ilr as i have been doing until now. In the future i qould like to apply for british citizenship will that cause any problems and a brp will be required?

Also if i did want to change it into a BRP would i have to make a full application - NTL for £229 or can i just apply for brp(rc) for £54 as my visa is not inside my passport but on a seperate paper and after reading the guidelines i am a bit confused as to whivh one applies to me.

Thank you for any information.
