EEA PR or EEA FM

Post by Punguru82 » Wed Oct 24, 2018 7:13 pm

Hi All

Can we use one form to send the application 1- document certifying PR (my wife - EEA/Main Applicant) 2. Me( Non EEA husband -Applying PR), 3. Our 2 Daughters under 16 yrs (they have European passports as their mother is EEA). Issues is on the last part declaration -sponsor part and main applicant part- if she is the main applicant and sponsor as well as sponsoring me non EEA, does she needs to sign both boxes?? this form confuse me to be honest -help please. also when you fill her (EEA)details as main applicants the form is like asking you non EEA to fill as main applicant ????

Split your post into a separate thread as it had nothing to do with the OP's question in the original thread.

Somebody with more knowledge of EEA application forms than me should be able to answer your question.

Yes - you can use one application for the four of you, with your wife as the main applicant and you and the two children as dependents. You all need to have lived here five years and you and your wife must have been married for at least five years.

Presuming you're using this form for EEA (PR):

If she is the main applicant - she needs to sign the Main Applicant box.
The Sponsor box would have applied if you'd been the main applicant and she your sponsor - in that case, you would have signed the Main Applicant box and she sould havd signed the Sponsor box.

Thanks for the reply Nikki. She is the main applicant(EEA) and yes married more than 5 years and my EEA2 visa is 5 years as well, In that case - Me non EEA do not have to sign the declaration part then? as she is the main applicant. ? can she sign both boxes the Main applicant as she is and the sponsor part as well because she is definitely my sponsor as well? - if we submit the form with my signature (non EEA) would not be detrimental to my PR application?

She fills the form as the main applicant.

You fill in the section called 'Biometric information for non-EEA nationals: form EEA (PR)' on p.7, and you sign the declaration on p.13.

Section 1 'Applicant's details' is filled in by your wife.

Section 1 C is for your children's details.

Section 2 'Your sponsor' should be left blank, as she doesn't have a sponsor.

Section 3 explains what other sections of the form need to be filled in.

On Section 19 A 'Applicant's declaration', your wife signs.

Section 19 B 'Sponsor's declaration' is left blank.

I would add a covering letter summarising your application, your family composition and what your wife's 5-year qualifying periods is (dates).
