Urgent help please - SMS system Tier 2 Sponsor COS allocation request

Post by Ancestor » Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:38 pm

Could I please ask a learned member who may have some insight and knowledge of the employer/sponsor SMS system for a request for an allocation of COS to please give me some advice re below?

I have found the SMS screenshot guidance for SMS https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... icence.pdf page 38 and 43 refers.

Reason I ask is for my daughters issue, I have just read through the instruction email that my daughters immigration lawyer sent her employer/sponsor to get a COS allocation, and I noticed something glaringly that appears wrong to me!

He is an A grade license holder and can issue Unrestricted COS, but my daughter is the only sponsored employee he has ever done and issued her first T2 Gen 3 yrs ago, and would not have automatically had an annual allocation of COS, only having issued one three yrs ago.

The lawyers instruction to her employer/sponsor was to request a "COS allocation increase" per pg 38? Surely this can't be right, as he hasn't had any Unrestricted allocation for this year?

Surely she should have instructed her employer/sponsor to request a "Renewal of annual allocation" per pg 43?

Her boss/employer phoned my daughter in a panic today whilst she is on a weeks annual leave at home, and said there was something wrong with his request on SMS, has asked her to go in and see him tomorrow 11am, in order for him to check some things and change something in his request?

Any insight and advice re this would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.
