Police registration for ILR

Post by waelayoub » Fri Oct 26, 2018 3:27 pm

Dear all,
Currently I'm on a tier2 visa and will be eligible to apply for ILR mid November. I lived in Bristol but moved to London few days ago, i went to the overseas visitors record office this morning to report my new address and the gentleman who works there gave me an appointment on the 16th of Jan. Do i need to hold my application and wait until i update my details or is it ok to send the appointment letter with my application next month?
Your advice on this really appreciated.

If they cannot register or update your address before the ILR application, you better apply for ILR without updating it.
Attach a covering letter saying you attempted to update your PRC and were given an appointment in Jan which would not be suitable.

After getting ILR, you do not need to register or update the police anyway (when I was granted ILR and got my documents back, I saw that the case worker has put a smiley face on my PRC and written that I do not need to update this anymore  )
