Question on Schengen Visa requirement for france

Post by daddyyluv » Sat Oct 27, 2018 8:23 pm

Hello, I am looking to apply for a Schengen visa to visit France as a Family member of a EU/EEA/Swiss citizen but I am a bit confused with the requirements I made bold below (copied for tls website). I have a child that is british and my unmarried partner who is the father of my child is also British so I am applying based on my child under the above category as I am not married to his dad yet. Do we have to pay for our travel ticket before I apply for the visa? Do I need to show any financial document like Bank statement? How long will it take for me to get the visa?

Please help my direct appointment with the French Embassy is in few days. Thanks
