Biometrics appoinment

Hi,

My question is in relation to biometrics appointment.

The day you complete online application do you book for biometrics appointment online? Or do you call VFS to book for the biometrics appointment? or will you be sent a letter from UKVA confirming biometrics appointment date?

You book it on visa4uk website once application is submitted, it is part of the steps for the whole process, such as paying for IHS.
