Sponsor working overseas before ILR

I'm British and my non-EU wife has been in the UK with me since April 2015 and she got her FLR successfully last year. All going to plan she will be able to apply for ILR in April 2020.

I'm currently interviewing for a job in Munich. If I got the job, my wife and son would plan to stay in the UK and I would travel back every couple of weeks for a few days at a time.

We should be able to manage to apply with cash savings when the time comes around. Would we be risking being declined if I'm spending so much time away?

Under paragraph E-ECP.2.10. Relationship requirements of Immigration Rules Appendix FM: family members it says:

E-ECP.2.10. The applicant and partner must intend to live together permanently in the UK.
