FBR US citizen/UK resident

About to start my FBR and looking for some advice from others who have already applied. I am US born and UK resident applying through my grandmother's Irish birth. I have all of her documents(birth, marriage, death), my fathers documents(same) and will submit my application online and pay. So the online application process once complete you print and send to Embassy/Consulate in the country you live in(assuming when you choose country they provide this)? Reading other posts turnaround time is anywhere from 3 months to 9 months? Has anyone else applied as a US citizen UK resident and how did your application process work out? Time line? Thank you!
