Document proof of being in the UK last 5 years

Hello,

I have a Croatian passport and am applying for British Citizenship. Croatia joined the EU on 1st July 2013, so in my current passport (started March 2014) there are no stamps whatsoever when I entered the UK after holidays. My previous passport has a stamp at Heathrow dated 3rd March 2013.

My passport before that has my Residence Permit showing ILR, issued July 2005. (I have been living in the UK since 1990 and got my ILR about 1994 but lost my previous passport with it inside). I do NOT have a BRP. I plan to submit all 3 passports.

I am finalising my application online and will be using the nationality document return service.

What is the best way to prove I have been here the last 5 years including the exact date I apply?

I started my current job on 3rd Feb 2014. I have a letter from my employer dated 27th January 2014, telling me I have passed my interview and offering me the job. I can easily request a current letter stating I have been employed full time since 3rd Feb 2014.

Before this I did have another job. The only letter from this employer I have is dated 17th December 2013, inviting me to a meeting to discuss a conduct issue. I also have a payslip dated 31st December 2013 and a P45 from HMRC dated 31st January 2014 showing I left that job before starting my new one.

Should I wait until 17th December to apply and show my previous employer letter, P45, my current employer offer letter dated 27th January, and also a current letter from my employer stating I have been employed since 3rd Feb 2014?

Or would it be better to apply on 27th January 2019 and just use my current employer letters? Will this be enough or should I be providing pay slips as well?

I don't mind waiting but I would rather sort it all out sooner rather than later!
