Absence Letter - is it required? SET (M)

Post by m00npalace » Mon Nov 05, 2018 11:11 am

Hi,

My wife is applying for SET (M) via PSC on Nov 21st on the 5 year oute. We're just getting our last bits of evidence/docs together. I called the HO this morning to confirm that the change from paper to online form won't be an issue (they said it won't and to just bring the paper form) it's a very standard case but one thing keeps popping up on these boards that is worrying me.

Does my wife need to get a letter from her employer confirming all of her annual leave? I don't remember this being mentioned in the form at all, but everyone on here mentions providing it. She has not been outside of the UK for more than 3 weeks at a time in the last 5 years and has never been abroad for work. We didn't include this letter with either of our previous FLR applications and it didn't come up. She has asked her HR to provide one, but knows them to be very slow and not very good with out of the ordinary requests like this.

Can somebody confirm whether the application definitely requires this letter and where in the form/guidance notes it is mentioned?

Thanks so much
