Visa type and spouse entry

Post by wp7676 » Mon Nov 05, 2018 6:04 pm

Hello
I have just been offered a contract position for one year in a company in UK. I completed a master degree in UK recently and returned to India three months before my student visa expired. Applied to this position while I was in UK, however the position was only offered after I reached my country. This is an engineering company that is a tier 2 visa sponsor. I'm given to understand that I will have to work till the student visa expires coz they kept asking about the validity of my student visa. A contract has not been signed yet however a temporary offer has been committed that is subject to background check.

What kind of visa do they offer to a position as mentioned above? Could it be a tier 5 visa or tier 2? The pay is weekly as per the offer and barely amounts to 30K GBP pa.

Can I bring my spouse on a visa? Will salary limit be an issue?

Appreciate if someone could shed some light.
