Restrictions on Days out of the UK??

Post by SamarZ90 » Mon Nov 05, 2018 8:14 pm

Hello everyone,
I am in the UK on a spouse visa and I have a question regarding days I can stay outside the UK for, i know I shouldnt under any circumstances stay for more than 180 days away, but the question is does the counting start from the date i was granted the visa or the day I first entered the UK??
Hope that’s clear

Thank you

If you are the holder of a spouse visa, there is no 180 absence limit. This is relevant to the PBS route.

Hi there,
I was under the impression that in order to renew my visa after 33 months (and apply for ILR afterwards) i should be residing in the UK for a certain amount of time with a restriction of 450 days during the 5 years and not more than 90 days in the final one ( as well as 180 days in any given year?).. please clarify more .

Many thanks
Samar

You are confusing this with the absence limits for a British citizenship application.
