I want to apply to unmarried partner visa through my EEA partner just about to get the permanent residence card (I am non-Eu, about to finish PhD, here on tier 4 visa). But I am worried that I don't have enough evidence of cohabitation to proove that our relationship is akin to marriage.
Even though we've been together and living for for 2 years, the only evidence I have that I have about the cohabitation is my bank statements. I didn't get involved with bill or council tax payment, so I don't have any proof. I was added to the housing tenancy effective from march 2018 onward (7 months ago). But my partner was in the tenancy agreement and has paid council tax and some bills. We started our joint account from this july onwards. We don't have any kids. Apart from that we have photographic evidence and whatsapp chats since the beginning and we have travelled to each other's' countries few times for important family weddings, family visits and holidays, so have quite few plane tickets as well. But I am not sure if it is a valid support of evidence?
In couple of months (after new year) I am thinking about applying to this visa. Are there anyone recently experienced the non married partner visa route, and give me information that having only bank statement from the beginning of cohabitation, and other proofs starting from later period is a big problem? Should I still try my chance?
Other alternative is marriage, but I would like to do it for the right reasons, so I am desperately in need of your opinion!
Thanks
