Permanent resident for non eu

Post by Dmou319 » Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:09 pm

Hi
I’m a non eu married an eu in 16/4/2014 and
I come to U.K. in 17/9/2014
After that I applied for resident card and is going to expired in 2020
I would like to apply for permanent residence but I’m not sure if I have to wait till my residence card expired in 2020 or apply in 2019 count from the date I entered U.K.?????
My husband got his permanent residence already and he has been exercising his right since he comes to this country
Also do I have to take the life in U.K. exam or till I want to apply for naturalisation???
Thanks

You will bevable to apply for PR 5 years after you entered the UK, provided your husband has been exercising treaty rights during those 5 years. So you can apply for PR on 18.09.2019.
The LIUK test is for British citizenship applications - not for PR applications.
I am not an immigration lawyer. My comments are opinions, not legal advice.
