Do I need grandparents divorce paper if there wasn’t a name change?

Post by Bluegill » Fri Nov 09, 2018 2:00 pm

First off, I’m not even 100% sure my grandparents ever officially divorced. On my grandmothers (who I’m claiming fbr through)death cert, it says she was widowed at her time of death. Also she kept her 1st and only husbands surname.

So as far as I can see, I can just mark widowed on the application since that’s what the death cert says? It has absolutely no barring on my linkage to her either way as I have every other document that I need. Thanks
