Hi everyone, I have a eea residence card on my expired passport, how can i apply for biometric residence card?

I have a valid residence card on my expired passport. How can I get biometric residence card with out having to make new eea2 application.

I believe you meant that currently EEA2 is stamped as vignette on your old passport which has expired. In this case there is no legal requirement to have it transferred/stamped in your new passport, I once checked this with HO and were adamant no need to apply again also employers are aware of this. Incase of travelling use both Passports. However if you wish to get BRC you must resubmit fresh application with fresh evidence of exercising treaty right for your sponsor presuming that you are Non EEA. The processing also takes same duration 6 months. But now says it’s quicker as per previous time lines on here.

Thanks for your reply. I want to use it to apply for the early settlement scheme pilot starting this month as it stated you must have biometric residence card and work in some places to be eligible to apply

Can one who work in NHS or University with a valid Residence card stamped as vignette on passport participate in the settlement scheme pilot application going on now
