Receiving Carers Premium/Allowance increases adequate maintenance threshold??

Post by Cassie301 » Sun Nov 11, 2018 5:51 pm

Hi everyone,

I read in a similar post that an application for a spouse visa was rejected because the person did not meet the adequate maintenance threshold.

They where receiving carers premium ( 35 pounds) and in the rejection letter it stated that the threshold for adequate maintenance was increased by the amount he receives for carers premium.

Adequate maintenance for a couple was 115 pounds + 35 = 150

Can someone tell me if this is how it works in all cases involving someone who applied for a spouse visa through the sponsor receiving carers allowance/premium?

Thank you
