BSAP Reserve | Crown Service

Hi All

A quick question...

Would anybody know if long service in the BSAP reserve force in Southern Rhodesia from 1953 to 1980 would qualify as "crown service"?

My grandfather was a permanent member from 1950 to 1953 and was discharged "time expired". But went on to then join the BSAP reserve force for many years, including at the time my mother was born.

We are trying to obtain our Brit passports based on this "crown service" and was just wondering if anybody knew if the BSAP reserve at the time of my mother's birth would still qualify as "crown service".

We have all of his relevant certificates proving this.
