APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF STUDY TIME LIMIT UNDER TIER 4

Post by luckbuh » Tue Nov 27, 2018 8:55 am

Kindly advise on the process of applying for an extension of time limit for study under tier 4 for an applicant based outside the UK.

Specifically, i would wish to know the address or email of the relevant UKVI department that such application can be made to as the immigration rules makes provision for such application to be made under the tier 4 study rules.

Thank you.

Your question is not clear.

If you are asking about making a new Tier 4 application having previously studied in the UK, then the procedure is largely the same now as it was when you applied before. See

https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information-- ... ide-the-UK

If you already know that you cannot apply because you have reached the relevant 2-, 5-, 6- or 8-year limit, then there is no system for negotiating with the Home Office for addtional time. Any discussion needs to be with your Tier 4 sponsor themselves, who have the option to sponsor a student who is over the limit but only if they are satisfied that there are

...exceptional compelling and compassionate circumstances that either prevented the student from completing the course within the time given or caused them to leave their course prematurely (for example, serious illness or disability).

See the Tier 4 Sponsor Guidance, document 2, paragraph 5.64.
