Promotion/Job title change

Post by t2minUK » Mon Dec 24, 2018 8:05 pm

Hi all,

If I am getting a promotion or job title change, I understand if job code is different, new visa application is required.

My previous job code is 2136 Programmers and software development professionals and I might get promoted to Solution architect or Technical architect and I believe it belongs to new job code, 2135 IT business analysts, architects and systems designers.

1) Do I need to submit everything again? English language proof, maintenance funds?
2) My previous time on tier 2 calculated for ILR as well, it will not reset to 0?
3) Just in case (I know is rare), if new application fail, I still have existing valid tier 2 visa? Means I still legally work in the UK while re-apply for new job title visa?
4) Can I just discuss with the employer to get salary increase only without title change (until I get ILR)? Will it be fine if I get like 1000-2000 pounds increment without title change?

Kindly advice.

Thanks.
