EEA4 FORM FOR PR

Post by kashyme » Fri May 30, 2008 5:55 pm

Hi,
I am a family member of a German national living in UK since August 2004. I entered Uk on EEA family permit and was later given EEA family member residence permit for 5 years. During this whole period me and my wife both are working without any interruption . My wife was initially employed then became self employed . I remained full time self employed throughout this period. Next year we will apply for permanent residence. While looking at the form EEA4 it asks for my wife`s employment and self employment details not mine but the fact is that my wife`s income was not more than 5000 per annum in any of the previous years as she was working part time. In fact I was working full time and was earning the amount around 13000 -15000 a year average . If we mention only my wife`s income in that EEA4 form will that be ok or I have to show my earnings as well because my wife`s income was not as much to show home office
that we were financially stable . Kindly advise me where my application will stand when we will apply. I am a bit confused with this. I understand it is too early to ask any question as we will apply in August 2009 but I just want to make sure about every thing.

I hope to get your kind attention in this regard.
Thanks

My understanding is that both your incomes are taken into consideration, so you should certainly include your tax statement as well. As long as you did not receive any benefits, you were obviously making enough money.

Now once you have been living here for 5 years, you have full access to benefits. So I would think that the amount income is actually of secondary importance in the EEA4 application.
