NON-EU STUDENT VISA TO SPOUSE VISA

Post by ss33 » Sun Jun 01, 2008 1:00 am

HI EVERYONE,

I am a non-EU living in ireland since 1year on a student visa. my visa expires next month.

I got married in ireland at a register office last month to a non-EU girl on working visa.
Can anyone give me ur valuable suggestions regarding the following:

1) Can I change my status to spousal visa staying in ireland.
2) When can i apply.
3) What all documents needed for my wife to apply for a spousal visa for me.
3) How long does it take for the outcome of the application.

Thanks a million

Hi,

I have been to the GNIB today with all the required docs, but they told me that I have only two options either to write to DOJ explaining my situation or apply from any other country and that they cant directly change my Stamp 2 visa to Stamp 3.

Can anyone suggest me what to do at this stage. Do u suggest me to write to DOJ, if so how long does it take for them to give there decission. Or is it better for me to go to my home country and apply from there.

Plz I urgently need this information and any suggestions are greatly appreciable.
Thanks in advance.
