Proof of language knowledge for ILR

Post by una86 » Thu Jan 17, 2019 5:02 pm

Hello all,

I have a bachelor degree from a UK university, but the qualification was not thought in the UK or a majority English speaking country. It's one of these universities that offer double degrees. For my previous Tier 2 applications, I always used this degree as a proof of my English language level without any issues.

However, in the new ILR form, the following is required:
• an academic qualification deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the United Kingdom and:
˗ UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was taught or researched in English to the appropriate
level
or
˗ the qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country (other than
Canada)

Given that my degree is issued from a UK university, do I still need a "NARIC letter that confirms the qualification
meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched". If not, how do I go about completing the form?

Thanks,
Una
