Declaring convictions for residence card

Hi there,

Would someone be able to shed some light regarding convictions, particularly when applying for a residence card?

I`m an EU citizen and my partner is applying for a residence card. At the end of the application, we both need to declare any convictions.

I have had a run-in with the law a few years ago in the state of Florida. When leaving court I had a felony charge, however, the adjudication was withheld. Searching through the internet, I have found pretty much the same information everywhere; a withhold of adjudication is not a conviction.

Now the question I have is, seeing as this does not count as conviction in the state of Florida (or USA per se), do I need to declare this on the Residence Card application?

Obviously, my aim is not to deceive UKVI, however, I would like to use the law in my advantage and not cause further unnecessary questioning.
