Spouse visa & Bank contract

Post by King Kong » Wed Jan 23, 2019 10:01 pm

Hi there, I have been with my current company for 2 1/2 years... Earning roughly £14,000 on a 36 hour /week contract... A few months ago I changed my Full time contract to a Bank contract so that I could take 2 months off to get married and not have to lose my job.
We were not going to move to the UK together but we have decided that it would be best decision for now. So I am still on the Bank contract but I have added more shifts so that I now do 60 hours/week and earn over the necessary £1550/month. I will be doing this for 6 months before I apply but my concern is will the bank contract be okay for the visa? Or would it be looked on more favourably if I was contracted ?
....i do earn a higher wage on the Bank contract plus I could apply a month earlier as this month is slightly below the £1550 as I've just started the extra shifts ...I'm just concerned that the visa might be rejected because Bank might be considered not a reliable source of income.
I'm a UK citizen & he is a Filipino citizen.
