Long Residence ILR

Post by Ceedee » Sun Feb 03, 2019 7:53 am

I have been in the UK since January 2007 first as an international student for 5 years after which I made application for leave to remain under exceptional circumstance in 2011 which was refused in 2012. I appealed the refusal in same 2012 but the hearing was delayed until 2015 but before the hearing I made application for asylum in 2015 which was refused and instead was granted discreationary leave to remain for 2.5 years. I applied to renew my discreationary leave in 2018 and was granted another 3 years in January 2019. However having been in UK for over 10 years, I would like to apply for indefinite leave to remain in the UK under 10 years route. Is it possible to apply for ILR while my 3 years discreationary leave is still running or do I wait for it to finish running. I mean can I apply to vary my existing residency for ILR? I intend to book for a premium ILR appointment this month

Did you still have valid student visa in 2011 when you applied for the next visa ?
