Final Query on Tier 1, applying on 18th.

Post by coolsats » Mon Jun 16, 2008 3:09 pm

Hi Friends,

Am done with all the documents now. Now its time to post it.
Am from bangalore. Got few queries, please help me clarify on it.

1) What kind of envelope do we use for putting in all the documents, is it like some special kind of binder or folder, is there any specific name for this, and where can i find it.

2) I keep reading that applicants send their Application form through "royal mail special delivery etc", where can i find this service to send my application (does VFS Provides this service)
What i heard was that we need to submit our application in the VFS office and they will send it across to UK. Pls clarify me on this, whether we have to send it or VFS will send.

3) And how do i enclose a pre paid special delivery envelop along with the application, so that they can send across all my documents on this envelope. Where would i find this envelope in Bangalore.

Am carrying one set of xerox for all the documents for the integra.
Please let me know if there is anything that am missing.
Thanks for all ur help in advance.

Good to know that you are finally prepared and ready to take the plunge. So, best of luck!

1. It is entirely up to you. You can use a folder with individual plastic leaves or you could use a paper clip to bundle up your application. Depends on how tidy *you* want your application to be and how easy you want to make it for the CW to comprehend what is being claimed in your application and what corroborating evidence has been included to support that claim.

2. Unfortunately, you have to be in UK to use the Royal Mail special delivery service. In order to come to UK you need an EC, so first things first - go to local VFS office and submit your application. VFS will tell you the options on how your documents can be returned to you (couriered to your address for an additional charge or collect from VFS office or something new).

Keep the spirits high (the right ones though).

hi,

1) VFS collects the documents from you and they will arrange them in their own folder in their own format. So dont worry abt the folder..

2) Once the biometrics (finger print) are completed at the VFS office, they will take the documents with them.. If you opt to collect the passport at the VFS office (after the process), then there is no need to provide any envelope.

Just go in with your clear mind and all the reqd docs and photocopies - the VFS officer will make you life simpler..

the above are my observations at vfs, chennai..
All the best!!
