Traveling outside UK while applied for renewal of brp card

Hi,
I need advice and will be very thankful. I'm very confused and so much tensed waiting for my renewal of brp card still not arrive.
I got discretionary leave to remain before 8 months.
Brp card had error slightly in picture.my focus in picture was not right. I received that brp card. And after few months I applied for renewal of brp card by email on 30th dec 2018.
Got request for biometrics on 11 Feb 2019.
I tried to find out by sending request online on ho website. Ho reply in email that it took 8 weeks.
The question is that my first brp is still valid and I have that. I checked that on right to work check and there it is still confirming my first biometrics which has error in picture.
I want travel to Pakistan on 3 April and return on 18 April. Can I travel on my first brp card? Is there will be any problem on entry in UK? I can show confirming my job, immigration status and decision letters issued by home office at the time of entry.
Kindly help me advise me I have no options. My mother is I'll and it is her last hope to meet her. I will be very thankful to all group.
