Work permit--- Tier 2-- Need to pass resident labour market

Hi,
I have got an existing work permit which is going to expire i wish to continue working with SAME employer on TIER 2 after expiry of my work permit. Does that means i will also be subjected to resident labour market test, cause my profession is not in shortage occupation list?? Please advice if someone has some info on this.Thanks
