Hi,
We are applying for a first extension for a spouse visa. The new form does make it easier to include details but I can't seem to find a guidance document like there was for the old paper form and so I am left with quite a few questions. Could anyone help with the below questions from the form?
• What family or friends do you have in the country where you were born and/or any other country whose nationality you hold?
○ How much information should I include, is it sufficient to provide just the closest friends and immediate family?
• What will you use to prove your degree taught in English?
○ We have a certificate from UK Naric that says it is equivalent to a British bachelors degree, do I select "Degree certificate" or "Official transcript or letter" and what do I upload as well as the Naric Letter.
○ When I select Official transcript or letter the documents section says to include the NARIC letter and an official transcript or letter, should I upload my course transcript or my degree confirmation letter? Tick boxes on the form has the below two items:
§ "NARIC letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched"
§ "The official transcript or letter for Mrs XXX to prove the level of English language required"
• Do you and your partner have any shared financial responsibilities?
○ The rent and other bills comes out of my husbands account (sponsor), I then pay for other stuff such as groceries/going out etc about £200 a month. Given that most of the money is coming out of one account and that there is no fixed amount, should this be a yes or a no? Also what do I need to include to corroborate this? Should I just change this to no since there is no money changing hands?
• Under the finance section for salaried employee with same employer for the last 6 months
○ We are relying on Sponsors income alone. My husband is paid a base salary above the required amount, he also does overtime for the same company and so his gross wage can increase by up to £1000 per month, but he always receives the base salary no matter what and the base salary alone covers the financial requirement. I have selected "The same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount" is this the correct option or should I be selecting "Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount" The employer has confirmed the base salary in the letter they have prepared
With regards to documents to provide:
• My tenancy agreement has digital signatures on it will this be an issue? Should I get a letter from the landlord confirming it is real?
• The tenancy agreement states an amount which is slightly short of the amount we pay each month as we also pay for a parking space in the same transaction, should I include the figure on the tenancy agreement or the amount that we pay on the bank statement and get a letter from the landlord stating the amount I pay? Will they even care about the discrepancy?
• Do the UK Naric certificates expire? This one is two years old?
Thanks in advance for your help!
