Can I travel abroad during curtailment period (60 days)

Post by kevinsanglee » Wed May 01, 2019 4:40 pm

I am on the garden leave until end of May and 60 day curtailment period kicks in and I have until end of July to stay in UK. If my family and I go out of UK in June but only comes back to UK to catch a connecting flight to another country (this will be a final move), is there anything legally I should be concerned about? My understanding is that if we leave during curtailment period, HO considers this as a legal departure as T2 visa holder in UK and that when we come back after curtailment period, HO will consider us as a foreign visitor to UK. Is this correct understanding? Thank you.
