VFS Global: GWF Reference Number not recognized?

I'm applying for UK fiance visa, have booked appointment on visa4uk website but can't seem to register with VFS Global online using my GWF number. Instead, they generate an 11 digit number that starts with the letter "F" instead of the GWF number provided by visa4uk.
Does anyone know what can be done about this? My appointment is in 2 days and I need to be able to register with them before going to VFS global and submitting my documents... Thanks.

You could go to my application, edit GWF reference and email address. If not I have seen few posts with same problem, but if you let VFS center know when you go for bio, they still accept. This is default system error.

Can you let me know if you solve this? I'm having the exact same problem with my girlfriends application. her appointment is in a couple of weeks.

hello, my problem was with fiancee visa (i dont know about others applications)
i decided about dont log in on VFS and only go there with all the doccuments in Sao Paulo
they said it does give a differente GWF number but it doesnt have any problem as long as we bring both of the appointments
as i said, i didnt log in on VFS website , only booked the biometry day by visa4uk website
i bring all the documments to sao paulo VFS
they scanned there for free and everything sorted
