Tier 4 to Spouse, less than 6 months remaining on Visa

Post by lastro1 » Tue May 07, 2019 6:07 pm

Hi all!

My fiancee has been studying in the UK, and this is her fifth year. She is currently on a Tier 4 student visa (lasts 9 months, after the end of her previous t4s)

We have passed our notice period (28 days, no home office investigation) for marriage registration at our local register office.

We have prepared almost all the material for our application, however upon reading:
"You'll usually need to leave the UK to apply for a family visa if either: you have permission to be in the UK as a visitor/ your visa is for 6 months or less"

Her visa has approximately 5 months remaining when we have our marriage ceremony (early June).

Will this be ok?

Thanks all!

You can relax...this refers to someone who holds a visa which was issued for 6 months or less.
