UK spouse visa extension

Post by Mcgivernuk » Tue May 14, 2019 8:28 am

Hi there.

We are applying for my wife's UK spouse visa extension and I'm a little confused on the financial section.

I am sponsoring my wife and I get paid 22,000 a year basic that has just risen to 23,100 from this month but I also get variable commission each month. Do I have to select option 3 due to the commission or option 1 due to continuous basic salary?

Do we select:
The same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount
The same amount continuously, below the financial requirement amount
Not the same amount continuously, above the financial requirement amount
Not the same amount continuously, below the financial requirement amount

If I selected option 1 would they think why am I not including the commission?

Not a problem choosing option 3 it's just I would have to supply 12 months of statements versus 6 and get more from the bank.

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks so much

I have the same dilemma. My husband's contract show basic salary without counting the anti social hours and overtime, so we went for NOT the same amount continuously as it reflects different amounts on his payslips anyway. We're not sure if it's correct tho :(

Providing you have been with your current employer >6months and your basic salary is currently £23,100, then you should follow Category A stating an annual salary of £23,100. This is what I was advised by an immigration advisor for my successful fiancé visa application.
