Visa for Partner

Post by bobby80gh » Thu Jun 06, 2019 4:15 pm

Dear members,

I kindly need your advise on an issue.

My partner is currently in the UK on student visa. I have been together with this lady for about 13 years and we currently have 3 kids together but not legally married.

She currently lives with our 12 year old daughter who is on her visa as a dependant and our 3 year old boy who is a British citizen. I am also a British citizen.

We have always been in a relationship akin to marriage although we can not confidently prove with documents except our kids as we have not always live under the same roof for a long period because I am always working in another location.

Now her student visa is coming to an end and we need to switch to a different category. We have the choice to switch to partner visa or use our British child. I know the partner visa might not be possible as I am currently not a resident in UK. Using the child might also be complicated because we are still in a relationship.

Can someone advise me the best way to go about this.

Thank you.
