Family Visitor Visa Query

Post by aspirant910 » Mon Jun 24, 2019 11:38 am

My Brother is a UK citizen and wants to apply for a family visitor visa for mother staying in India. Recently our father has expired. We are trying to figure out the documentation required for the visa application.
Father’s saving bank account is jointly held by the mother. Having near to equivalent 9000 Pound of savings in the bank account. Father's pension is coming to one of the bank account jointly held by my mother. Our ancestral house is in name of my father. My mother has Uk travel history and she travelled twice to UK in 2011 for 2 months as she got a 6-month family visitor visa at that time.
One of solicitor suggested starting sending some money in her account for a few months to show that you are supporting her in her home country and after that apply for a visa.

I am a little confused as I am not sure how will that help in her application?
Please suggest.

Showing that you are supporting your mother stands to weaken the application as it presents more reasons for her to remain with you in the UK. Documented evidence of strong ties to her home country are essential, including financial self-sufficiency.

Do you mean by 'expired' that your father has passed away, or did you intend to write that he has 'retired' from employment :?:

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
