No problem providing you claim tax credits in joint names. Child benefit in your name only.saleemkhan1 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:36 amDear experts,
I got ILR. I have one child who was born here in the UK. my wife is on dependent visa and I would apply to switch her visa to Family route/spouse visa in next year. I have started full time work. My question is can I apply for working tax credit based on my full time work? If I apply, would this affect my wife visa switching?
Many thanks

It seems like you got ILR on the 10 years route as you were a student until recently working 20 hours and are now Self Employed.

Exisiting claimants will have their Tax Credit benefit claim ended and will then have to appy for Universal Credit, if they can. Claimants must sign the UC Claimant Commitment.saleemkhan1 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 29, 2019 1:32 pmAnd you are right for other information. I know families they are getting tax credits even their wives on spouse visa.
